We take eight commissions a year, so every family receives our full attention. Each one begins with a conversation to explore whether the fit is mutual.

How an Introduction Works
- One email ends your part. “[Name], meet Caleb Breakey of Renown Publishing. Caleb works with a small number of families each year, listening until a lifetime becomes a book worthy of it. I thought of you because [one honest sentence]. I'll let you two take it from here.” Copy caleb@renownpublishing.com.
- A first conversation. We begin with Story Discernment, a 30-minute call with no pitch and no pressure. Join it if you like. You carry nothing, and if they aren't ready, nothing is lost.
- Discretion throughout. We never pressure anyone you introduce. We keep your role confidential unless you tell us otherwise, and with your client's permission we keep you in the loop.

What's the investment?
A six-figure engagement that reflects the depth of eighteen months of work. An accelerated path is also available. We are glad to discuss specifics on a Story Discernment call.
Who owns the book?
The author does, completely. All intellectual property, including derivative works and adaptations, is assigned to the author. We steward the process. The outcome is theirs.
What is asked of the person making the introduction?
Only the introduction. Send them to Begin a Conversation, or copy us on a short email at caleb@renownpublishing.com. We handle the rest, and with your client's permission we keep you in the loop.
What if the family isn't ready yet?
Then we wait. The right families find us at the right time, and a first conversation carries no obligation.
What is a patron commission?
A patron funds a book that must exist, often someone else's story: a leader whose life carries a movement, or a family whose story should travel beyond its own table. The author receives the full Renown experience and owns the book.
Can a commission be funded through a donor-advised fund?
Yes. We will walk through how it works on a Story Discernment call and bring in your advisors as needed.
Where do the royalties go?
To the author, when the author funds the book. On a patron commission, back to the patron's donor-advised fund or toward more copies for the readers who need them.
